I am very aware that I am a slacker........

and that I don't update my blog enough. Well truthfully our life lately has consisted of root canals, work, race track, work, sleeping, work and cleaning house. So as you can see not much to blog about. Hopefully we will have something exciting to blog about after this weekend. One more thing........the countdown is on. My birthday is 2 weeks from tomorrow. For those of you who don't know my birthday is pretty much the best day of the year. Not only is it the day of my birth but it also kick starts my 2nd favorite month of the year.(Right behind December) I love everything about July including the parades and fire works. Who doesn't love their birthday? The world revolving around me (sigh)........it doesn't get much better than that. LOL I crack myself up!

MaKayla turns 4!!!!

Happy Birthday to our niece MaKayla. Today is her fourth birthday. I really can't believe how big she is getting. She is such a crack up and says the most random things. Kayla is having an Enchanted birthday party at Princess Park on Saturday. We love you Kayla! Happy Birthday!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Ian and I had a very full weekend. We started off early Saturday morning with Strut your Mutt! We had a lot of fun and could not believe the turnout. There were thousands of people with their dogs that participated. We had a lot of fun and are planning on doing it every year. Lilly was a little overwhelmed by all of her new friends. She wasn't sure who to play with first.

After that we headed up to a BBQ with the Bingham's........Sorry no pictures. That night Ian went to the Real Salt Lake game with my brother and I went with my family to MaKayla's dance performance. It was so funny that I was bawling by the end because she was making me laugh so hard. She did awesome and I am so proud of her. Sunday was Miles' blessing so we went to Maeve and Brad's church for that and then to their house for a BBQ after. It was very busy weekend and I am SO sad it is Monday.

Dr. Jones.............

On Tuesday morning I headed over to Training Table. They were having a giveaway of Indiana Jones tickets and I got some. So last night we headed over to Jordan commons to see Dr. Jones in action. We had to wait in line forever but finally got into our seats around 7:15. I really enjoyed the movie until the ending.......I'm not gonna give it away so you will just have to go judge it for yourself. It was no "Raiders of the Lost Ark" but I would suggest going to see it. I mean HELLO, it's Indiana Jones!!!! After that we went to Denny's for dinner

because we were starving and it was the only place open.

Married Life

How long have you been married? 1 year 8 months

How old is he? 27

Who eats more? Ummmm him unless it's something I can't resist

Who said I love you first? Honestly we both danced around the subject for about 3 months and then said it at the same time(tender I know)

Who is taller?Ian by about 6 inches

Who sings better? We both are tone deaf

Who is smarter? hmmmmm.......depends on the subject?

Who controls the T.V. remote?This is a constant battle in our house....Ian says the remote is like the priesthood, only men can hold it. I say screw that we are watching the bachelor.

Whose temper is worse? Depends.....Ian doesn't get mad easily but when he gets mad he is really mad.....me I tend to gripe and moan about alot of things but they are usually little and I forget them within a few minutes.

Who does the laundry? Mostly Ian because he runs out of clothes alot sooner than I do, but lately I have been doing laundry almost everyday(Thanks to Beth's housekeeping tips)

Who does the dishes?Usually me because if I wait for Ian to do them we would never have any dishes.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Facing the bed Ian and Lilly do

Who cooks dinner? both of us

Who is more stubborn? We both are but Ian is more stubborn

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Me, because I can never stay mad at him

Whose parents do you see the most? Mine but we see both quite a bit

Who has more friends? Ian by far but I am cool with that because I like his friends and there wives. I only have a few friends that I am in close contact with

Who has more siblings? Ian he has five I have two

Who wears the pants in the family? Ian does......because if I didn't let him our relationship wouldn't last long. But once again...I am cool with that. I married a "Man's Man" and I knew that from the get go! :)

I DID IT!!!!

After alot of talk about cutting my hair and dying it dark, I actually did it. Okay well maybe I didn't actually do it. But this is what I would look like if I did. Please ignore the fact that my picture looks like a mugshot and let me know what you think. I found this on Marie Claire's website and decided to give it a try.......hahaha

Strut your Mutt!!!!

As many of you know I have a very soft spot in my heart for animals, especially homeless, abandoned or neglected animals. Whenever I see that ASPCA commercial with Sarah Maclauchlin I bawl my eyes out. There is an organization called no more homeless pets that we like to donate money to every time we go to Petsmart (which is like once a week because Lilly is spoiled). Yesterday I saw an ad for a fundraiser called Strut your Mutt. It has sort of the same concept as Race for a Cure or Walk for Diabetes where you pay an entry fee to do the race and all of the proceeds go to homeless pets in Utah. It is Saturday May 31st at 9:00AM if anyone is interested. Here is a link with the cost of entering and all the details. Ian and I will be there with Lilly May and Izze (my parents puppy) strutting there stuff.
