Gettin' my hair did

Super excited.....I am FINALLY getting my hair done tonight. I had to cancel my last appointment which was about 7 weeks ago and I couldn't get it rescheduled until today. So basically it has been about twice as long as I normally go between appointments. I need a trim bad and I also need to get it colored like its nobodies business. So everyone say good by to Shakira, tomorrow I will be a new person!

We leave for Cali a week from today!!!!!Yayayayayayayayayayayayay!!!! I seriously can't wait. Tonight we are having a Roethel family pow wow to discuss our plans while we are there. We are still sad about leaving Lilly I seriously am going to miss her so much. I can't believe we are going to be away from her for a whole week. :( If ya can't tell I'm a little distraught about this whole thing. This is her first time away from us!) But anyways it will be so much fun if I can just get over being a worry wort about Lilly!!! Hopefully we can get some much needed sunlight and rest!!! I guess there is a water park at our resort so I am sure we will spend a lot of time there. Cali here we come!!!!

Real Salt Lake

So.......niether Ian or I are really into soccer but last night my brother had two extra tickets to the game so we decided to go. To be honest they really suck and haven't won a game all year. It was pretty fun whenever they got close to scoring though. Towards the middle half of the game the officiating was getting horrible and the fans were getting angry......so whenever they would make a bad call, which was every few minutes people would start throwing stuff at them from the stands. I guess this is a normal thing in soccer and it made it so entertaining. People were really getting into it including my brother who tried twice to throw stuff onto the field and failed horribly each time. It was hilarious and a lot of fun I actually didn't want to leave. It also made me very excited for football season. For anyone that knows Ian or I you are very aware that we are both into football big time. Ian is the biggest Colts fan this side of the RCA dome and he has managed to make me a fan also. But that is where our football unity ends. Ian likes BYU and I am a huge U fan so college football season makes for a tense household. We stand about 10 feet apart when we go to the games together so we can keep the peace, because we are both very intense when we watch football. We are quite the odd couple walking around the stadium with him all in blue and me all in red. Geez just talking about it makes me excited.......I can't wait till August! Go Utes!!!!!! This year it's gonna be different Ian!!!! It will me doing the victory dance after the game and you walking away in shame!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Happy Birthday MaKayla!!!!

My niece Makayla turned 3 on June 11. I can't believe how big she is getting. We are having a party for her on Saturday at Princess park and she is so excited. When I called her on Monday to tell her Happy Birthday the first thing she said when she picked up the phone was.....Seesee guess what????? It's my Birthday today and yours is next!!!!! She is seriously a crack up and way to smart for her own good. We watch her alot and she is the most polite 3 year old I have ever met. We usually take her out to dinner and not only does she tell you thank you while you are there.....she also tells you thank you everytime she sees you for the next 3 months. Half of the time I forget what she is talking about when she says thank you for Texas Road House when we went in Feb. She's a nut but that's why we love her......Happy birthday Kayla!!!!!

A hard weekend!!!

Well this weekend we decided to take it easy......the last few have been pretty hectic. So Friday night my parents took us to LaCalandria and then we went to go see the new baby Taylor. She is the cutest little thing and I tried to sneek her home but didn't quite make it out the door. It's now official that I am more baby hungry than ever but Ian's not having any of that. We will see though I think I am wearing him down. But as usual I will probably change my mind and go back to liking the life with our little family exactly how it is. Saturday we sat around in our PJ's all day and at about 5 we decided to get ambitious and go out to dinner at our favorite resteraunt Texas Road House!!!! Yummy prime rib and sweet potatoes!!!!! We then came home and rented You, Me and Dupree and once again got in our PJ's. Sunday after church we got in our PJ's again and played Wii and watched movies all day. So needless to say we were pretty much lazy piles all weekend and it felt so good. Just thought I would keep you updated and let you know how lazy we are.

Taylor Kaye Roethel

We are very excited about the arrival of my newest cousin Taylor Kaye Roethel born on June 3 at 8:10 pm on a bench in front of Chili's. Yes you heard me right, after a trip to the hospital earlier in the day the doctors told my Aunt Jessica and Uncle Paul to come back when her contractions were closer together and more regular. They told her it would be several hours before she needed to check in. Well on the way back the expectant parents and the other kids(Dalton 6 and Morgan 3)along with my Grandpa Carl and Jess's mom Leslie decided to stop at Chili's to grab a bite. Well needless to say the doctors were wrong. Before even ordering Jess knew it was time and the baby was delivered on a bench in front of Chili's by Jess's mom. The ambulance arrived about 3 minutes later. The cord was cut and tied with a shoelace. Jess is doing well besides a little embarrassment that about 30 strangers saw a very private moment. Congrats to them!!!! We love you guys!!!

Wow work for Ian and I has been pretty hectic latley so we are super excited for a week away. We are going to sunny San Diego with my fam for my 21st birthday the first week of July. We are going to Disneyland, a Padres game, Tijuana, golfing, the beach and if I get my way Sea World. (I love Shamu) I seriously can't wait to get away but I am so sad to be leaving Lilly for a whole week. We have a nieghbor who has volunteered to come over and let her out but I know that i will be so so so so worried about her the whole time. Geez she is like having a baby. This will be the first time we have gone away since our honeymoon so it is about that time. I also haven't been on a family vacation for about 5 years so this should be interesting. Wish us luck with Lilly.

We totally got suckered into this!!!!!

Well i figured since everyone else has one Ian and I should probably get one to. So here we are!!!!! Ian and I met at an LDS dance in Sept of 2005(that's so embarrassing) and we were married Sept 16, 2006. We bought a home in West Jordan a few weeks before we got married and have been living there ever since. It's not just the two of us anymore because Ian surprised me with my sweet puppy Lilly May for Christmas. She seriously is the best thing ever. We love her more that a lot of people like their kids.:) Ian is currently working at Shamrock Plumbing and going to school so he can get his journeyman. I am working as an Escrow Officer at Executive Title. I just got my license so I am currently trying to build up my client base and get my career rolling. We are always super busy so i figured this is a good way to keep in touch with family and friends. We have two incredible families and are very excited with the way our life together is going. And before anyone asks...........We have no plans for babies anytime in the near future. But........maybe another puppy? Ha Ha
